Background
The Lawn Bowls Section is part of the Mulgrave Country Club (The Club) with full access to the Club’s amenities. The Club is a big supporter of the local community including support for individuals, charities, sporting and schools in the local area. The Club has excellent greens (two Tift, one artificial), registered volunteer coaches, 180 competition and social bowlers, and well represented in Pennant and other broader competitions with eight (8) sides represented in both Weekend and Midweek pennant last season.
In the 2025/26 Pennant season, Weekend pennant had sides in Divisions 1 through 8 with two sides reaching the finals. Midweek Pennant also had eight sides resulting in one Division flag, three Section flags and one runner-up in the Division Final. Thursday 7-a-Side had three teams with two teams reaching Section finals. Tuesday night is also represented with one team.
The Position
This position reports to the Chair of the Lawn Bowls Section and the Club’s Sports Coordinator and Community Liaison Officer.
The role of the Club’s Coach is to develop new and experienced players, provide a coordinated approach to coaching across the Club and foster good team relationships. Coaching experience is essential and applicants should be able to demonstrate;
The position is initially for one (1) year with the option to extend and is expected to be filled prior to the commencement of the 2026/27 Pennant season. Remuneration and conditions are negotiable.
