The system collects facial images of all attendees and extracts biometric data to help identify individuals who are banned or have chosen to exclude themselves from this venue. The system checks collected biometric data against a register containing the information of banned and self-excluded individuals, and notifies staff where a potential match is identified. Staff then approach the person for manual verification and action, safety permitting.
Personal information collected by the system is stored on the premises, but may be backed up on remote servers within Australia. It is used only for the above purpose, although it may also be shared with law enforcement officials when legally required or on reasonable request. Personal information collected which is not identified as a potential match is deleted within a reasonable period.
