Play Indoor Bowls at Mulgrave Country Club
Indoor Bowls news
Two happy events occurred recently:
Firstly, the 2017 Pennant finals organisers were looking for a venue for the quarter finals of Division 1 – the four best teams in 2017 in South Group. Following consultation with your committee and MCC management, the venue was agreed upon for Thursday August 10th. No one can remember MCC ever being host for such an event.
About 12 bowling club members turned out to watch Keysborough 1 defeat Springers 2 and Noble Park 1 defeat Springers 1. The eventual Division 1 winner was Keysborough with Noble Park runner-up.
The second pleasing event took place on Saturday August 12th at Keysborough where a Mulgrave team comprising Octave, Rosa, Joy S and Morris had been entered for the South Group Life Members Shield knockout competition.
They defeated Berwick in the first round, Keysborough in the second, only to lose to Noble Park in the Grand Final. A truly great result. “Well done!” indeed Mulgrave.
